Oliver Chapman Architects was commissioned by The Great Steward of Scotland’s Dumfries House Trust to prepare a feasibility study for the creation of a 100 room four star hotel and spa within the Dumfries House Estate.

Clad in western red cedar shakes, the linear form of the building was generated by the need to ensure natural light and ventilation and desire to create a series of external courtyard spaces along the length of the historic avenue to Dumfries House.
