Water Wars
/ Aug 10, 2009As part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Alexander Bell will lead a promenade performance of 'Water Wars' in our gallery from 10th --22nd August at 1pm.
So why not let a leading author take you on a fascinating journey through history, showing the ties between water, civilisation and the impending war for water. Engage in some lunchtime refreshment with one man, a bucket and an absorbingly aquatic tale.
This is a free non-ticketed event but space is limited, so please book ahead.

‘Pecha Kucha’
/ Aug 7, 2009OCA Associate Director, Mark Cousins, was invited to make a presentation at the Royal Scottish Academy.
The ‘Pecha Kucha’ concept was conceived in Japan in 2003 as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. The term ‘Pecha Kucha’ is Japanese for the ‘sound of conversation’ and has become global spreading to over 100 cities. Each presenter is allowed only 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each, which keeps presentations concise and highly charged. See the web link to the ‘Pecha Kucha’ site:
