    Planning Appeal Success in Edinburgh

    Planning Appeal Success in Edinburgh

    / Feb 6, 2008

Oliver Chapman Architects has won an appeal gaining planning and listed building consent for the conversion of a Grade A Listed mews property in Albany Street Lane, Edinburgh. Designed for a private client, the existing garage will be converted into a two storey dwelling with an open living area on the upper storey, exposed to the expressive ceiling form above. Taking it's lead from the existing urban plan of the Broughton Market, the dramatic zinc clad roof is designed to respond to the historical context of the area as well as allow light and retain privacy for the occupants.
