Oliver established the practice in 1997 having worked previously at Richard Murphy Architects (Edinburgh), MacCormac Jamieson Pritchard (London) and Max Rieder Architektur (Vienna).

Oliver combines practice with teaching Architecture at the University of Edinburgh and Urban Design at the School of Planning, Heriot Watt University. He is also a board member of Art in Partnership and has recently completed training as a BREEAM EcoHomes Assessor. Oliver has considerable experience in the residential sector encompassing private, affordable and care homes which have garnered a number of awards for the practice.
